Counselling courses near Aintree
If you are based in Aintree and considering a move into counselling or mental health support, UK Therapy Guild offers a clearly structured and professionally grounded pathway into practice. Teaching takes place in person at the Our Lady’s & St Swithin’s RC Primary School, Parkstile Lane, Croxteth, Liverpool, L11 0BQ, easily accessible from Aintree and the surrounding areas.
The programme is delivered primarily face to face during term time, with a smaller online study element to support flexibility. This approach reflects recognised counselling training standards, where relational and in person learning remain central. Students can progress through to Level 5 within two years. No prior qualifications are required to begin, although Level 3 knowledge is helpful, and optional weekend support sessions are available if needed.
In addition to classroom teaching, you will have access to the Guild’s online learning environment and digital resource library to support your study between sessions.

Why this course exists
Nichola Doyle
Founder and Course Director
My own first experiences of counselling were disappointing. I changed therapist often, which deepened old wounds, and later sat in sessions where I did not feel heard.
That is why I trained, and why I built this. Hurt people often go on to hurt others. Our goal is to break that cycle.
This is the course I wish I had found when I needed it most.
