UK Therapy Guild is committed to making sure that as many people as possible can use our website and take part in our training. This page explains what we provide, the support available to students, and how to contact us if you need it.
Using this website
We want this website to be straightforward to use, whatever device or assistive technology you rely on. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and review the site regularly.
Accessibility menu
An accessibility menu is available on every page. Open it using the accessibility icon near the bottom of the screen to change the text size, highlight links and headings, turn on a dyslexia-friendly font, adjust contrast and spacing, and choose reading profiles for low vision, ADHD, epilepsy and more. Your settings stay on as you move around the site.
The site also includes:
- A “Skip to content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Pages that can be navigated using a keyboard alone.
- ARIA labels throughout, so menus, buttons and interactive elements are announced clearly by screen readers.
- Alternative text on images.
- Resizable text in a clear, readable typeface, with attention to colour contrast.
We have not yet completed a formal external audit, so we cannot claim full conformance with WCAG 2.1. We are continuing to make improvements. If you find something difficult to use, please tell us using the contact details below.
Support with your studies
We make reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, specific learning differences such as dyslexia, and other additional needs, in line with the Equality Act 2010. You do not need a formal diagnosis to ask for support, and anything you share is treated confidentially and used only to arrange the help you need.
Depending on your circumstances, support can include:
Assignment extensions
Additional time and flexible deadlines on written work, agreed with your tutor.
Materials in alternative formats
Course notes and materials in formats that suit you, including larger text and accessible documents.
One-to-one tutor support
Additional tutorial time and a named contact for support.
Flexible attendance
Flexibility around attendance and the practical parts of the course where your circumstances require it.
To arrange support, mention your needs when you enquire or apply, so we can prepare. We will talk through what would help, confidentially and without obligation, and agree any adjustments with your tutor and review them during your studies. Our training venue
In-person teaching takes place in Croxteth, Liverpool. The venue has been chosen with physical access in mind.

How do I change the text size or colours on the website?

Do I need a formal diagnosis to get support?
No. A diagnosis can sometimes help us tailor support, but it is not required in order to ask. If something would help you study, please get in touch.
I have dyslexia or another specific learning difference. Can you help?
Yes. We can provide materials in alternative formats, allow additional time on assignments, and arrange one-to-one tutor support.
Is the training venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The venue has step-free access, ground-floor teaching, accessible parking on site and an accessible toilet.
Will my information stay confidential?
Yes. What you share is treated confidentially and only passed to the people who need it in order to arrange your support.
