Discover Your Learning Style

Discover Your Learning Style

Now that you have a sense of what the four VARK learning styles are, it is time to find out where you sit. The questionnaire below takes around five minutes to complete and gives you a result based on your natural preferences for taking in and processing information.

There are no right or wrong answers. Just answer as honestly as you can based on what feels natural to you, not what you think you should say.

Activity – Take the VARK Quiz

Click the button below to open the VARK questionnaire in a new tab. Complete the quiz, note your result, and then come back to this lesson.

Take the VARK Quiz

Once you have your result, click the Comments tab at the top of this page and share it if you feel comfortable doing so. You might simply post your result, for example “I came out as strongly Kinaesthetic with a secondary Auditory preference,” or you might want to say whether it surprised you or felt exactly right. Have a read of what other students have shared too. You might find you have more in common with someone than you expected, or that a different result makes you think about your own differently. Feel free to respond to other students’ comments.

Most people are a blend

Do not worry if your result feels mixed or if you score fairly evenly across more than one style. Most people are a blend rather than a single pure type. The value is not in having one definitive label but in recognising where your natural preferences tend to sit, and using that awareness to your advantage when you study.

When you are ready, mark this lesson as complete and move on to the next lesson where we introduce a different but complementary model, one that looks not just at how you learn but at your broader personality and how that shapes the way you work and connect with others.
