What You Have Covered

You have reached the end of the course. Before you move on, take a moment to look back at everything you have worked through. It is more than it might feel like in the moment.

Your journey through this course

1

Getting oriented

You learned how this course works, what the different tabs do, how to take notes, and why some content is locked until previous lessons are marked complete. You arrived as someone curious. You left that first topic knowing how to navigate what was ahead.

2

Going back to the classroom

You explored what returning to study as an adult actually looks like. You heard from real graduates about their first day nerves, the community they found, and why they would do it all again. You looked honestly at the worries most people carry and read an honest response to each one.

3

Discovering how you learn

You completed the VARK learning styles assessment and the Insights Discovery colour quiz. You now have a clearer picture of how you naturally take in information, how you tend to show up in a group, and what that might mean for how you experience the training.

4

A taste of the subject

You watched a real counselling skills demonstration and explored one of the most counterintuitive things a counsellor learns to do: staying with someone in their pain rather than rescuing them from it. You were introduced to the Johari Window, a model that has been used in counselling and personal development for decades. And you got a brief but genuine glimpse into the very first topic every diploma student explores.

5

Understanding why you are here

You read Nichola’s story. You reflected privately on your own reasons for being here. And you practised something that sits at the heart of counselling: deciding what to share, how much, and in what words. That is not a small thing.

You did something most people do not do

Most people who think about counselling training stay in the thinking stage. They read about it, they look at courses, they tell themselves they will do it one day. You did something different. You started. That matters more than it might seem right now.

There are two short things left to do. First, a few questions about your experience of the course and how you are feeling about the next step. Then, if you are ready, a link to everything you need to know about the Level 5 Diploma and how to apply.

When you are ready, mark this lesson as complete and move on.
